From naming patterns to grading them
Daniel W. · Discretionary trader, Brisbane · Chart Pattern Intensive
Daniel joined an Intensive after years of informal chart study. He could identify head-and-shoulders and flags in hindsight, but his live journal showed late entries after the move was obvious.
During sessions two and three he worked through a stack of ASX daily charts with the right edge covered. The exercise forced a written bias before the break. By the follow-up call he had a short checklist: structure first, pattern second, volume third.
He still takes fewer trades than before. The difference is fewer impulsive breaks on thin volume — a quieter journal, not a louder one.
