Volume tells you which breakouts deserve attention

A breakout without participation is a suggestion. Pair pattern exits with volume character and you discard half the false starts.

Flag and pennant breaks that fire on average volume are frequent on quiet Australian sessions. Many reverse by the next open. We treat volume as a filter, not a decoration under the candles.

Compare the breakout bar to the average of the prior twenty sessions inside the pattern. A modest lift may still work in a strong trend; a flat or falling volume print on a counter-trend break is a warning.

Clinic members keep a simple tally: breakouts taken with rising volume versus flat volume, and the five-session follow-through. The tally is personal — your market and timeframe matter — but the habit of measuring beats folklore.

None of this replaces invalidation. Volume can look perfect and still fail. It simply changes how large a first probe should be while the pattern proves itself.
