Reading triangles before the break, not after

Symmetrical and ascending triangles reward patience. The useful work happens while price is still contracting.

Most traders screenshot triangles after the break. By then the lesson is mostly over. Digi Infrastructure drills focus on the compression phase: swing spacing, touch quality, and whether each touch still respects the trend that preceded the coil.

A symmetrical triangle after a strong advance is not automatically a continuation. Count the touches. Three weak taps on the upper boundary with expanding lower wicks often foreshadow a downside resolution.

We ask students to annotate time as well as price. If the apex is days away and volume has already dried to a whisper, the next impulse tends to be sharper — which means stops need room that still respects the pattern’s geometry.

Practice method: print a chart with the right edge covered, mark the triangle, write your bias and invalidation, then reveal. Repeat until your pre-break notes beat your post-break memory.
